So thank you. One question that I have always wondered about is would you do this choke in a no rules fight from your guard? I know it is very powerful, but it feels like im prone to eye gouging from the person on top as I’m attempting the choke. Maybe punches or a slam as well. Choking from the mount seems safer to me. I hope I’m missing something becasue I love this choke! thanks Henry A December 23, 2016 at 8:51 am Log in to Reply Hmm maybe prone to an eye gouge, I guess it depends how quick they go out, which when done right should only be a couple seconds. Slamming no, if you focus on pulling towards you with your knees it’s very difficult for the person to get posture to stand. Q: When I turn my shoulders and have a deep cross grip I cannot pull my opponent down to the ground like you do in the videos. I usually have to bend my opponents straight arm with me left arm and pull him down. Am I doing something wrong? How can I pull the opponent once I have a deep cross grip with ease like you do in the videos? Regards, Henry A January 17, 2017 at 10:07 am Log in to Reply Make sure you pull across your body, not straight down and make sure you pull in with your legs also zamy y January 4, 2018 at 3:55 pm Log in to Reply Hi Henry, in this video Reslon Gracie show a cross collar choke whit the head traped at 3:09. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJ3E5G9qsGc Could you please make a unit whit the hidden detail of this technique please? Gerald B April 21, 2018 at 10:30 am Log in to Reply Henry, I am having problems with high level guys (black belts usually), when I pull them down they tend to tuck the chin and I cannot get the choke…I try to push up the forehead but no success. Any advice on making my intentions a little sneakier? Randy A July 12, 2019 at 5:31 pm Log in to Reply Awesome details! Thanks Henry!
