    you mentioned the option of taking the back but usually like to do is recover guard. Is that just a personal preference or is there any particular reason for preferring guard recovery vs. taking the back?

      for fighting the preference is always to get on top so you’re not exposed to taking damage, but if your just training for fun then guard is a good option too
