Or are there ways to counter that sort of that cross choke prevention? Henry A September 15, 2017 at 7:52 pm Log in to Reply Yes that’s exactly the attack I use, the arm bar and cross collar work in conjunction with each other, usually by defending the neck they give their elbow. So when the arm comes up to defend, I usually slide my knee up by the head and my hips behind the elbow to prevent them from pulling the arm back down.
