    Of all the Hidden JiuJitsu and Mind Blown videos, this is the first that was the same as what I’ve been taught. All that to say – I am so much better for your work here; these videos are an investment…not an expense.

      Thanks Jeff! The main thing for this sweep is how to control the ankle and take the top position after they fall.

    Henry, are you taking them at an angle backwards similar to the One Leg Ankle Grab Sweep, or more straight back over their heel?

    I used to really like this sweep, but got injured while trying to do it a few years back on a guy who weighs nearly twice as much as me (him 300 lbs and crazy strong, me about 170-175 lbs and athletic but not a freak) who basically powered his leg out of the the sweep, pulling my arm with it and compressing and popping one of my ribs.

    The sweep had always worked prior to that incident on pretty much everyone I had tried it on (even guys a fair amount bigger than me). Admittedly, watching your video though I may have not been square enough to his hips (I don’t recall other instructors or instructionals stressing that point), perhaps not making the angle ideal and perhaps that was why he was able to power out?
