I just don’t get it… Richard F September 20, 2017 at 10:50 am Log in to Reply Love this video. Wish I had gotten it 1 1/2 years ago and it would have saved me a ton of trial and error. Sadly, the majority of places I have seen back escapes and defense say something like “push back at an angle and then get your head to the mat”. This is great, but the details are important. Thank you! Craig N October 21, 2017 at 3:21 pm Log in to Reply Can you go over how to remove the hooking leg without using your hand. Sometimes removing the hooking leg is quite difficult. Thanks. Henry A October 26, 2017 at 3:12 pm Log in to Reply Hi Craig it takes a little playing around with because there are different angles your opponent can be applying pressure to give the leg trouble, many times I straighten my leg first then move it so I can put my foot on the ground which then allows me to move my hip so I can get my back to the ground Craig N November 4, 2017 at 9:35 pm Log in to Reply Thanks. Still waiting to take you out for excellent vegan pho in South Orange county. Dennis O November 12, 2018 at 7:51 pm Log in to Reply Hello. I am having trouble with releasing the hook also. I am able to get to the side but when I go to turn my hip I dont always get that release. I have not been getting choke out very often with utilizing the first few step in the back defense but I seem to get stuck with that hook. I saw your post to Craig. I will try different angles in my next couple rolls. But defintely a lot harder to choke from the back. Loving all the content. Since I started watching it over and over and applying the principles in my rolls in class, No one has been able to finish an RNC on me!
