Its shocking how effective this guard posture is. Ive only been working on it a couple of weeks and people often just give up closed guard without even having to full go for a guard break. Every detail of Henrys I’ve implemented so far has cut through thier defenses like a hot knife through butter, even against the higher belts. Thank you so much.

Henry, great video. Wonderful you can show the rest of the guard break and what your thoughts are on it. Obviously the first thing one would be concerned about is the triangle. But I assume there must be some details in there that deals with that…. Btw, Happy Birthday!

I was never able to make this guard break work, unless against a beginner. That is until recently after I watched this video. The added details made a WORLD of a difference. I don’t get it to work every time, as I still need to keep practicing it, but it is now a lot more effective, and works a lot more often against higher belts. Thanks Henry.

Thanks for the extra details. I’m a white belt and have been struggling with this guard break for well over a year now. Looking forward to practicing this with my training partners in the gym.
